para-anisaldehyde

CAS Number: 123-11-5

The statistical data we collected from 80 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for para-anisaldehyde is 1.1%. The typical lower limit is 0.47%, and the usual higher limit is 2.1%. The highest amount of para-anisaldehyde we encountered in any single formula is 5.0%, and the lowest was 0.025%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of para-anisaldehyde should not exceed 0.21% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use para-anisaldehyde at 2.1% or less of the formula.
