The statistical data we collected from 71 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for isoeugenol is 0.75%. The typical lower limit is 0.25%, and the usual higher limit is 1.5%. The highest amount of isoeugenol we encountered in any single formula is 21%, and the lowest was 0.025%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of isoeugenol should not exceed 0.11% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use isoeugenol at 1.1% or less of the formula.
