grapefruit oil
CAS Number: 8016-20-4
The statistical data we collected from 19 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for grapefruit oil is 2.5%. The typical lower limit is 0.94%, and the usual higher limit is 10%. The highest amount of grapefruit oil we encountered in any single formula is 48%, and the lowest was 0.060%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of grapefruit oil should not exceed 4.0% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use grapefruit oil at 40% or less of the formula.
