The statistical data we collected from 26 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for dimethyl anthranilate is 0.75%. The typical lower limit is 0.20%, and the usual higher limit is 1.5%. The highest amount of dimethyl anthranilate we encountered in any single formula is 3.5%, and the lowest was 0.0040%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of dimethyl anthranilate should not exceed 0.10% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use dimethyl anthranilate at 1.0% or less of the formula.
