The statistical data we collected from 69 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for ocean propanal is 0.75%. The typical lower limit is 0.50%, and the usual higher limit is 2.0%. The highest amount of ocean propanal we encountered in any single formula is 10%, and the lowest was 0.070%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of ocean propanal should not exceed 2.6% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use ocean propanal at 26% or less of the formula.
