The statistical data we collected from 4 public perfume formulas suggests that the mean dose for cedrene is 4.2%. The typical lower limit is 3.1%, and the usual higher limit is 4.7%. The highest amount of cedrene we encountered in any single formula is 5.0%, and the lowest was 2.2%.
Please note that according to the IFRA Standard Category 4, the level of cedrene should not exceed 1.5% of the final product. Assuming that you will be using your formula for an alcoholic perfume at a 10% dilution, this means you should only use cedrene at 15% or less of the formula.
